Yesterday we launched a new self-hosted FreshRSS instance at https://news.pyroneon.net. This site exists to pull fresh world news, crypto news, finance news, political news, and scientific news while accounting for bias in sources. In the future, we will include PyroNeon developments as well, but currently this is just a global news aggregator. The list is curated entirely by PyroNeon staff, and users cannot create their own accounts or modify the RSS feeds used. You can, however, toggle or disable whichever feeds you like on your client, as well as create custom filtering rules and sorting criteria.

This is more of a side project than a new serious project, but hopefully it'll be useful to some people. If you have any suggestions for RSS feeds to add, please contact me directly at [email protected], or otherwise reach out to us on our Contact Us page.

To account for political biases and opinionated news, we control multiple categories for political news outlets. These are designated based on their rankings at https://www.allsides.com/media-bias/media-bias-chart, which is attached to the right. Right now we have categories for Left, Right, and Libertarian sources.

We hope that by including posts from many various sources, each with biases clearly defined, users can have a more informed and well-rounded understanding of recent news events.

It should be noted that PyroNeon is not politically-affiliated and doesn't publicly endorse any candidates or alignment.

To summarize, https://news.pyroneon.net is our curated public RSS client, free for anyone to use. It includes articles regarding finance, science, crypto, technology, world news, and politics. Biases in political/news articles are made explicit and sources are categorized by their known political biases. If you would like to suggest a new feed or category, please visit our Contact Us page or email me directly at [email protected].

Enjoy!
